i read in one of the other blogs about SL that the case was reopened about letting people set home on our lands w/o having the owner deep his land to the group. Is there any news about this or do i still have to keep telling my lady she still cant set her home to my land still? Seems like an easy thing to fix like it was before why the hold up?

I haven't heard of any change and I sure hope not. I'm very generous about allowing anyone to use my property but I wouldn't go so far as wanting crowds of people setting it as there home.

What's wrong with just setting a group?

FYI, if its the 1st place an avatar arrives from the start island they can set home, it may even be automatic as a freind I TP'd to a club I was in now has their home set in the club.

Hmm.. I had to deed my land to my group for my hubby to be able to set home there. Doesn't bother me, because there's this nice bonus of extra land you can buy when you do it. I'm also the only one who can do anything like buying and selling land in the group, thanks to group roles. That was his request, although I did give him the power to eject and ban.

If one knows how, deeding land to group has only a few real disadvantages (annoyance with certain scripted objects having to be deeded, mostly), but this is among the most popular jira issues: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-404. They seem to have changed it on purpose, but haven't said why, and allowed the issue to remain re-opened. So, no answer to that mystery yet.
