In the Qinglong sim there is a Linden Road. 4992 square meters of it is owned by a Linden with one key and 32 square meters of it is owned by the same Linden with a different key.

When I click on "About Land" for the 4992 meter one it says the area is 4992 square meters.

When I click on "About Land" for the 32 square meter one it also says the area is 4992 square meters.

In fact, I've plotted out the 4992 square meter plot and it really is 4992 square meters.

The plots are contiguous with each other.

Two questions:
1. Why do both plots report 4992 instead of one reporting 4992 and the other 32 for a total of 5024 square meters? The total really is 5024!

2. Why does the same Linden have 2 different keys, one of which I have been unable to find in any of the Name2Key databases?

The reason I ask these questions is, I'd like to know if it might be possible to obtain the 32 square meter plot. I already have a lot of the land surrounding it. It's not a big deal either way, it is more of a conundrum to me.

1) It's the same 'plot'. It is possible to join parceals that are separated from each other but in the same sim. I've done this in a place where I collected enough ad lots to make a boat-rezzer by a Linden sea.

2) Just because
or maybe-
I think that Governor Linden is a job function with in LL and not a particular person. Maybe the different keys have something to do with this.

Maybe just lag too.. make sure the plot outline comes up before clicking 'about land'

That in particular happens to me right after a tp, I still get the last place's about land info if not careful

(Once my Home was supposedly bondage ranch..thats interesting lol)

It's possible (and I think likely) that the 32m parcel is not "protected" but instead is an abandoned parcel.

If it is not marked as "protected", then the Lindens may very well sell it to you if you ask. Submit a support ticket about it, including the region name and coordinates. Be sure to tell them you own land around it, as they might sell it to you directly rather than putting it through the auction process.

It can take several days up to a couple of weeks for them to address this kind of ticket. If you are wanting to speed the process, you might try doing a live chat after a day or so, making sure to refer them to your ticket. Often the Linden will come out and check the land, and either sell it to you or put it up for auction within a day or two.

P.S. @ Oki: You should check out the Second Survivor forums... I think the people who run it are the owners of Bondage Ranch. :)

As far as I know, the Lindens do not auction parcels smaller than 512 m2. They will however let you have it if you own land adjacent to it. You need to submit a ticket, also drop a notecard in Guy Linden's profile. It may take some time for them to catch up with your request, so follow up and be patient. They have zillions of requests everyday...

Actually they do auction smaller parcels now... there are three today under 512, one that is 200-something. Still, in the under-100 range, it's almost guaranteed they won't require an auction.

Also, dropping a notecard on Guy is no longer the recommended method. That worked a lot better when there weren't over a million active residents. ;)

I've just been through this last month. Submitting a ticket got it on record, but I sped up the process by following up with a live chat two days later. Once I did that, my parcel was up for auction within 24 hours.

I believe there was a 64 m2 one in recently (maybe still there).
