Child avatars... mandatory?

Rumor has it that LL is planning on requiring child avatars for all new players, therefore barring use of sexual animations as well as other goods usually attributed to adults (bars, dance clubs, etc.). If this is true, it will be the end of SL as we know it!

(joining in the spirit.) I haven't heard this rumour, but I suggested something simillar ages ago - that it could be like The Sims - new players start out young and grow up over a period of hours/days. Then I realised it was stupid.

(joining in the spirit.) Woot! I heard that LL is going to implement their new project "SLage" wherein we all start out as child/infant avis and henceforth age (like in dog years). So that only the FIC would actually be adults, and we'd all be running around as pubescent teens... [Edit: Ha ha Conan beat me to it] |

Like the game Fable. It's a pretty cool device...I like it for certain "games", but not for SL.
There's lots of screaming about discrimination on the forums...can you imagine what fodder would come from forcing child AVs to new citizens?

How about this - Contest ends at 3:00 pm PST today. That's about 4 hours from now. I'll pick two people to help me judge. I'm thinking Brenda and Oryx. I'll post a thread with the winners. It's up to the winners to IM me in SL. I'm usually on late at night - 10:00-12:00 PST. You have to be fairly close to me to get the biplane because of the way I have to transfer it. I promise to wear pants. The 3L will just be paid to you when I get on. There will be multiple winners. Some of these rumors are just to good to be true. Any future contests like this that I'm involved in will have their own thread so we don't clutter up the forums. My apologies to the mods. |

They aren't doing that - jeez. What's REALLY happening is we will all start out with grey hair and arthritis AOs, then gradually go back to childhood. After you become an infant you will go poof and have to make a new account.
But don't tell anyone.

*Laughs* Or if they required every female or herm avatar that uses a sexual animation to have a mandatory risk of becoming pregnant, and having to carry the child to term and then run that child as an alt?
