How to put things in a box?

hi! I bought a beautiful gift box for someone, but it didn't come with any instructions as to how to fill it! Please could someone help? i've seen a couple of nice gifts, and maybe an outfit that i'd like to put in if possible, and then give it to someone.

click on the box and hit edit

and click on the "contents" tab it will probably be blank save maybe a script if its scripted just leave what is in the contents area in there (just in case as i have not seen the box..)

open your inventory and find the item you want to stick in it

drag the item from your intentory folder into the contents folder you have open from the box

close the box edit tab and your done

you can double check if its in there by clicking edit again or "open" just to make sure once your sure what you want to put in there is actually there give your gift away

make sure the items you buy for your friends have transfer selected as the permissions otherwise you will not be able to give them a gift this way

you should see beside the items in brackets (transfer) (if its in a box) if this is not on the little item your purchasing when you examine it you can't give it away as a present. If its on display and you can't tell because its on a networked vendor look at the item under the edit menu and see if the radio button "can resel or give away" is checked in if its not you cant transfer it or give it to someone else etc ..
