I'm having trouble finding it at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that the TOS or a policy somewhere says that you can transfer your account at LL's discretion. So you may transfer, but you have to get their permission first.
I have a feeling they aren't going to like the idea of selling accounts. If you want to sell it, your best bet is to probably make the agreement privately with someone, and not let Linden Lab know that the transfer is for money. Edit: And while I was posting, someone found the authoritative answer. Of course, I'm sure you can figure out ways to transfer the account for money without LL involvement. |

Am I the only one suspicious when the same question, with onl slightly different details, pops up twice in one day on this forum?

something tells me they would not even allow the transfer of a lifetime account, after all, it is the person who got it that is entitled to the lifetime perks, not someone else.
(curious as to how much one would charge for a lifetime account, and how much one would be willing to pay) I would not want the op's account because of the name, not a name I would want. I would however like to have been here to get my own lifetime account, back in the day. my only regret is finding SL in 06 and not sooner _____________________

(curious as to how much one would charge for a lifetime account, and how much one would be willing to pay) I know for a fact a regular 2003 account has sold for $600usd + inworld services. So a lifetime account is worth is at least twice that. You also get 4096m2 free tier on the mainland, and a high stipend (though i never check to see what mine is). _____________________
