I have had the required land for over two years now and not only did no one bother to tell me about the concierge stuff, I have certainly never heard about any parties.

Im not sure what you expect from these 'parties'.....generally what happens is ppl congregate on a few specially themed set aside sims, dance to music like at a club and it lags to feck so you cant do much anyway. Then play spot the linden.

The concierge parties are largely a massive cluster **ck with 8 sims and 1500 people trying to teleport in. Impossible to move, frequent crashes and you'll find you know almost next to nobody. Last one I remember was Valentines Day last year. I ended up sitting at a fountain next to Prokofy and praying not to crash for 23rd time.

One thing that gets me is the comment on the blog about "how come WE don't get a party? We pay Lindens in as well".

And then there are others complaining about how you don't get anything for the fees, apart from support.

Can't have it both ways....

I don't mind them putting on parties for the higher-paying members. Doesn't make anybody else any the lesser as a resident. I don't mind them getting some bonus for the money they put in and I choose not to. Whether it's worth anything or not is another thing, of course :)

I was so stoked when invited to my first concierge party I actually stepped out from work to log in from the local starbucks and attend with a friend. It was so impossibly laggy and buggy that we left within 5 minutes. Same thing happened at the next event.

Too bad- it WOULD be fun to mingle with fellow estate owners from time to time.

EDIT: LOL, wrong account.

Heh...now all we have to do is work out who your main account is..

Eeekkk....wrong account.

PS Im wondering if this years theme is roman orgy...they do emphasise its mature and they did mention Ides of March.
