I'm lately seeing more and more objects rezzing as broken up lines of things. An example that first appeared, was a beach house thing. Everyone was raving about how good it looks, but to me it looked like a Tsunami has hit it. And it wasn't a rezzing issue as far as I can tell.
Trees are the next thing. They look like they are photo shopped onto vertical slats.
And now the saddest thing for me. My horses. Their legs look like they have been steamrollered and mutilated. This only appeared today.
I am using the Nicholaz Bleeding Edge Viewer on a Vista Machine. This machine didn't and hasn't been able to run any official viewer with Windlight. The machine simply crashes. And also, I really like the Bleeding Edge Viewer.
Any ideas what is causing this phenomenon?

are they sculpts?
Do you have the sculpt LOD turned up in the debug? (I would post how but can not recall at the moment the exact name of the debug in the debug menu for sculpty lod) do you have object detail high med or low?

Check the temps on your video card and cpu. Whenever my card heats up, it starts displaying things like that. You might need to clean the dust out of the case or maybe add another fan.

From: Darion Rasmuson rendervolumeLODfactor, should be set to 4 I believe? that's it!! Thank you! (on a side note, I logged in last night and my perspective was all weird, I thought at first it was my eyes, as I have been having some eyesight issues as of late... lo and behold it was the camera settings (follow distance and the one above it) not sure what or how they got all the way to the left, but wow it really looked weird.

From: Jinnywitha Cleanslate I'm lately seeing more and more objects rezzing as broken up lines of things. An example that first appeared, was a beach house thing. Everyone was raving about how good it looks, but to me it looked like a Tsunami has hit it. And it wasn't a rezzing issue as far as I can tell. Some of these are likely oblong sculpts (non-square sculptmaps), which Nicholaz-BE can't render; that's pretty much the visual result you get. Fits your tree description too. However, that won't explain your horses, if they were fine until now and only started looking strange today ... From: Jinnywitha Cleanslate And also, I really like the Bleeding Edge Viewer. While I can run newer viewers, I'm still not giving up my BE-based one But as oblong sculpts become more common, you'll see more and more plants-that-don't-look-like-plants and furniture-that-looks-like-a-pile-of-firewood. Have you tried the 1.19.0-based (pre-windlight) Cool Viewer? That one renders oblong sculpts (and can also upload scripts, which plain Nicholaz-BE can't do anymore either), and also adds other updates and extras, while looking much the same as BE (pre-voice interface) and not really being much harder on the computer, if at all.
