Hello. One way to see if a person is online is to search for the person and see if the "Offer Teleport" button is available. But I saw cases in witch my avatar scanner told me the person was online, but the "Offer Teleport" button wasn’t available. How can they do that?
Thank you.

depends, sometimes it's available other times you have to be on their friend's list.

I thought you had to be on friends list to offer a teleport. But even then, that functionality could be down at times.

What you could do is open the map, select the "copy SLURL" button in the bottom right, then IM the person you want to TP in, and paste the SLURL into the IM - clicking that SLURL in the IM acts as a teleport direct to your location... apart from anything else, that initial IM is a lot more inviting than a plain "X has offered to TP you to their location" message.

Hope that helps.

That's a good tip.

Keep in mind that if the land you're on has Teleport Routing set to Landing Point then they will teleport to the, well, landing point, and not in front of you. So it's not quite the same. With the Offer Teleport button (which is currently working for non-Friends by the way) it'll never get overriden by the landing point.

Since when? I've been tp'd by plenty of people not on my friends list.

Or just select the Admin options in the Advanced menu, then you can tp anybody through their profile.

It's always seemed to me as well like this viewer doesn't enable that button unless the person is on your friends list. Be aware turning on 'view admin options' will make it work but the custom message won't send. There is no such limitation at the protocol level so there are probably viewers that don't have this problem

I've seen this a few times, is there an option to turn off the tp option for people not on your friends list?

I don't think so. But, if you have the box checked to "appear offline to people not on your friends list", the TP button will be gray to all non-friends (unless admin options are on in their client).

Is that why sometimes my message says something about God Mode or God Summons? I use 'view admin options' all the time.

I always thought that you only got the TP option if you were on their Friends list or if you had the 'view admin options' turned on.

It appears it's just omitting the message, but still a 'normal' tp offer

Ah yes. That would explain why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I've experienced both scenarios several times but didn't clicked that the privacy option is the reason. Makes sense.

it's always been luck of the draw with me trying to send a tp to people not on my friends list..
sometimes it shows sometimes it doesn't..
account types don't have anything to do with it does it?
it being so random for me i just gave up trying to wonder why till i saw this thread lol
