Hi all,
This looks like a Paypal problem but I was wondering if anyone else had had the same problem. I've used the same paypal account for years and never changed any details and linked that to SL when I joined with no problems at all. I usually by lindens in world. Now when i try and buy lindens I get a message saying "Paypal has indicated that you have no funding sources for your Paypal account, please update your funding sources" Ive checked Paypal and its all fine same details same bank account all active etc. DOes anybody have any ideas please?
Thanks for reading

Maybe go thru the steps for 'Update Payment Method' and just re-establish the link to your paypal account. Otherwise, you'll probably have to go thru support.

What little said.
I had the same problem early on in my sl life. At that time it was an SL issue. It has been working fin for a while now. Also, check your limits in Paypal, I had those messed up as well.

I find SL Exchange easier to work with.

Oh yes, the paypal limits - the default is $250 per month and things are just strange enough to maybe give you that message if you happen to exceed that limit. From the Knowledge Base: To change it: - Log into Paypal.
- Click the My Account tab.
- Click the Profile subtab.
- Under the Financial Information section, click Pay List.
- Click the Linden Research agreement.
- In the Bill Term section, click Edit Billing Limit.
- Enter the total maximum dollar value you want to set.
- Click Save.

Have you gotten a new credit card and maybe not updated that with paypal? Even if it is the same number and it just runs longer than the former one, it needs updating the data.

An error occurred while processing your request. • The use of this PayPal account has been restricted.

From: Master Marksman An error occurred while processing your request. • The use of this PayPal account has been restricted. If that message actually came from PayPal then it could be a real pain. I had the financial info on my paypal account get messed up once and they basically locked it until I could talk to them on the phone and verify lots of stuff. You could try making a small purchase somewhere else using your paypal account - that would tell you if it is your paypal account or something with the SL usage of it.

From: Master Marksman • The use of this PayPal account has been restricted.
I got that message once and was unable to use PayPal with SL for several months. It worked fine elsewhere and PayPal customer service told me there wasn't any restriction on my account on their end. The person I talked to at LL basically said they didn't know what caused it or what I needed to do to reverse it. Eventually - and I still have no idea why - PayPal did start working again. From the Support ticket response: From: someone Greetings! Thank you for contacting the Second Life Billing Support Team. I have added your name to a list of names that are recieving the paypal restricted error. Unfortunatlly, there is had not been a name removed from this list EVER. They are working on trying to find out what is causing it so they can fix it...we are not sure if it paypal or us. I have no time frame of when we will have a solution for you. Paypal is working now. You will have to use an alternative payment method in the meantime. I hope this doesn't turn out to be the case for you. :-/
