Hi all,
I have recently been having problems buying enough lindens via xstreet, if you dont have a premium account you are only allowed to buy $150 every 3 days which is a fair amount but sometimes I want more, now I was wondering how I could get this limit lifted...
would I need to sign up for a premium account to remove the deposit limit on xstreetsl? also if i was to buy a premium account can i then buy lindens direct from secondlife.com? if so can I also use paypal to buy them? I dont know much about buying lindens etc officially becuase I have never had a premium account. its not a case of being tight, ive just always rented land so never needed one, any help would be appreciated, thanks

I don't know about the XStreetSL part of your question, but you definitely don't need to be premium to use the LindeX on the main site. However there is a restriction on how many L$ you can buy in your very first month and the clock for that only starts ticking the first time you use the LindeX to buy any amount of L$. After that month is past you're at a monthly limit of $2,500 US which should cover most people's shopping sprees . You can check what LindeX level you're currently at on https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/describe-limits.php (your level will be highlighted in gray-blue).

thanks for the reply very helpfull.... what i find strange is websites ive seen like : www.eldexchange.eu which for example you can buy 10,000L for $39,22 yet on secondlife.com Im being offered 10,000L for $42.86.. so that makes me wonder how eldex can get lindens cheaper than second life and why people use secondlife.com when they are cheaper other places..., another example http://www.xchange4ls.com 10,000L = $40,52 on the same tocken I am finding sites like http://www.crossworldsxchange.com charging slightly more which is understanderble given fees yet why would people even buy anywhere but secondlife.com other than the fact its cheaper? im confusing myself here

You can try buying $Lindens here (at this site) and then pay an XStreet terminal in Second Life: it will go to your XStreet account. The same av has to do it in-world as for XStreet.
If it's an alt, pay the alt, although if some have their way, soon your alt won't be able to send you anything it makes. :/

Er.. Be VERY careful about buying L$ on sites not at secondlife.com or xstreetsl.com.. eBay in particular is, for buying L$, one you should avoid like the plague.
If LL decides that the money came from some illegal source, they will take it from you. IMO, it's better to be safe than poor and I just buy here at secondlife.com..

From: UKwebdesigner Sporg .... if you dont have a premium account you are only allowed to buy $150 every 3 days which is a fair amount but sometimes I want more ... And I thought I knew how to power shop. Holy crap, what could you possibly be doing with that much money that quickly since gambling is **theoretically** no longer allowed?
