No can do - best you can do is make it No Copy and then have a script that will delete the object if the rez date is greater that a specified date/time. Nothing can delete directly from inventory.

Except LL- I guess that's a Feature and not a Bug?

...which would just let them rez it in a no-script zone and rip out the suicide script.

The easiest is really to rez it for them inworld in a sandbox, and let them check it out.

Wouldn't it work to just make it no copy, no mod and temp?

You must have built it somewhere, just let them see it there?

Wouldn't No Mod keep them from ripping the script out?

Here's a quicky:

integer count = 0;
default
{
state_entry()
{
}
on_rez(integer start_param)
{
llOwnerSay("You have 5 minutes before self-destruct!";);
llSetTimerEvent(60);
}
timer()
{
count++;
if (count < 5) {
llOwnerSay("You have "+(string)(5-count)+" minutes before self-destruct!";);
}
else {
llOwnerSay("*****SELF DESTRUCT******";);
llDie();
}
}
}

The script only works if the recipient is basically honest - if the perms allow them to remove the script then you need to get sneaky. You could have two different builds, one with the textures with the word DEMO plasted over them like you see with skins.

This is mostly tongue-in-cheek, but...

for a demo they can move and cam through, you could always make the model no-mod... and phantom.

Another mostly tongue-in-cheek suggestion is to make a miniature model (say 1/10th scale) and then script something that lets them cam through that.

No. You can generally dismantle things as you please. You just cannot put them back together or add things.
There are edge cases with a copyable script in a no-mod item, where the interpretation of just what should happen seems to have shifted over time, and I am not sure there even *is* an official specification for it, so it's not something to rely on.

suicide scripts aren't very useful, since even in no-mod items they can be ripped out or stopped... what you can do is set them to be temp-on-rez, and no copy... but that only gives them a minute or so to look through it... better to rez it yourself and let them see it.

You could whip up a script that would "kill" the build after a set amount of time. Rather than deleting the build, turn every prim into a plywood cube. 0.5 X 0.5 X 0.5 and all sides plywood. Good as dead for a no copy object.

A script solution is not the best, however if a copiable script is in a no-mod object you can't really get rid of it, I believe.
