First let me say: I know I'll get slammed for brown-nosing for saying this.
Second let me say: I don't care-----this is really nice work.
Specifically: the Road that appeared in my home sim (Lucasian) since last night.
The thing that gets me is the cracking along the sides of the road. I mean, it's amazing-looking. It's got this pink tinge that shows that the asphalt was made with good red Georgia clay, a common sight in North America. (Heck, for all I know they use it in New Zealand, too. Only of course it wouldn't be called Georgia red clay, there.)
It's just really, really well done. Even the underside of the bridge is 100% believable.
Attention to detail: it's a good thing.

Happy over a road? Well.. That's good! lol.
Don't think I'd like a random road paved in my SIM, but at least someone does..? Can't say I've ever seen road like that, either. Even when I went on vacation down in Georgia..

From: Malina Chuwen Happy over a road? Well.. That's good! lol. I try to enjoy the little things. I've lived in the South (off and on) for a while, and do see a lot of asphalt-concrete roads that age just that way. I'd feel safe in guessing that the engineers of this sim's road didn't just use their imaginations, but did some research. I like research. ^_^

Hehe, it's the little things in life that count the most Heck, I'm glad when I can get two Prims to line up perfectly! and I'll have to look at the roads a bit more next time I travel around down there. I'm all the way in the frozen north, lol.

I do like the variety of road-types they use. I'll have to check out those in the Frozen North... ^_^

(yeah, I know I use too many Anime Smilies. I'm just always afraid that what I've typed sounds sarcastic, even when I don't want it to..... )

I used the Unhappy face because I was embarrassed to see I'd used an anime smiley two posts running.
It's amazing how few message boards have actual "embarrassed smileys".....I suppose it's be cause we message boarders are Tough Hombres That Never Admit to being embarrassed about anything.

Lol =p I use emotions all the time.. It's just a habit of mine.. not really something to worry about. Otherwise you could be seen as 'too serious' of a person!

Yay - new road! Now, if only I could see some trains on the SLRR already, or see the Luna/Dore trolley back in service, or... or...
For that matter, what is happening at the marina in Bay City?
I like some of the stuff along Route 1 and 2 that was done a bit back. Some nice little details here and there. I love some of the signage, too. Shame I could not get the "rez area" sign from any moles. Some of it is "eh," but those are few an far between.

Have any trains ever been put on them? I'm sure the LL folks are just overwhelmed with all the things they have to do, and so such things end up getting put on the back burner. It's up to all of us to make SL so profitable that they will be FORCED to hire enough people to make all these things a reality!!!!!! ONWARD AND UPWARD!!!!!!

ONWARD AND UPWARD!!!!!! Yes, they SLRR had been running on the tracks around the Heterocera Atoll. Sadly, they started to develop some troubles a few months ago, eventually stopping when Havok 4 was introduced. H4 also did in the Luna to Dore trolley, as well as the privately-owned GSLR. The Trolley had still been trying its best for some time, but I've not seen one on the tracks at all for the last couple weeks. The rezzers are silent, but remain in place for the SLRR. I've traveled the SLRR tracks recently using a Hobo Train with some trouble, but clearly H4 has been tweaked quite a bit. Bay City has working Linden-owned trolleys and water trolleys, and I suspect the moles are working on similar systems to make these other systems work again. Mari (Who really would like one of those old SLRR trains)

Hopefully, they'll get around to building the missing section in Cliffoed. I moved my igloo closer to the road so people can walk up off the hot asphalt and cool off.

I've been on that road (in Cliffoed). I've lost a couple of vehicles there, as a matter of fact. (Actually roads aren't the best place to learn to drive in-world---something we non-gamers really DO need to practice. A nice empty sim is the place to learn.)
Anyway, I must step over and check out your nice cool ice-house.

Mari (Who really would like one of those old SLRR trains) That stuff all sounds really cool. All I've ever seen is a trolley, once when I was looking at Bay City (but I didn't try to ride---was in a hurry or something). (I'm sure that everyone who works for LL has their own list of stuff they'd like to get built....if only it didn't take time, which of course, as we all know, is money.)

I plan to build one myself eventually and have it run through my property. Make sure you use the teleport and visit Glacier Sea & Pingo Paradise (shameless self promotion).
