So tonight I stopped in at a friend's parcel to take a photo...she's really decorated her land well, but not yet updated the photo in the "About land" section, so I thought I'd take my own photo to put in my "Picks" portion of my profile.
I took one photo and paid the $L10 to upload it. When it finished uploading, the dimensions read as 0x0, and it was just a grey screen.
"That's weird" I thought. "Must have left the lenscap on. Probably a fluke." Like an idiot, I took another photo. Spent another $L10.
Same thing. "Well, maybe my settings are wrong." I changed the settings to "Keep specified aspect ratio" and made sure those were set for 1024x712. Also, I did the "Freeze Frame" or full screen preview.
I took my photo, the preview looked fine, and another $L10 went down the hole. However, the photo again came out 0x0 and solid grey.
Am I an idiot (second thought, don't answer that,) do I have something set wrong, or do I need to submit a ticket?

If the upload fails they don't charge you the ten lindies you just get a "Database error could not upload (UUID) please try again" with no charge. Check your inventory again, I bet they are there now.
You'll often see that 0x0 box because after you upload you must then download that again to your client as it is now known by its UUID, the name you gave it is only for your benefit. I'm betting you didn't wait long enough for the download ... if can be a bit slow during busy times, and probably there's some lag while the UUID index propagates SLand.

I always take a ton of snaps, dump them to my harddrive along the way, browse them later, and then upload the one that I like.

*grin* I agree.. take the snaps to your HDD first, and then just upload the ones you want to use.

From: Tegg Bode Remove lens cap first hee hee! yes, friend sent me a snap a night or two back. showed as 0x0 for ages. She sent it again. 0x0. Five minutes later both zapped to proper size. SL can sometimes be a waiting game.
