Will the name of the SIM alone, be a major deciding factor as to whether you will buy/or not buy land on that Sim ?

Only if it is incredibly offensive. Like "Happy Happy Smile Smile".

Major? There is a threshold. I mean... do you really want to live in Troll Sweat?

Ultimately it won't make or break a sale if the value is good enough. But the odd names can be really distracting. And cool names make it a little more valuable.

If I could afford a sim, I'd name it that, and the whole sim would be dark leafless forests and old run down buildings and random trash. I'd have poseballs scattered here and there with various sad/depressed/apathetic poses. It'd be great.

Hey I live in Troll Sweat! Actually it's just a little "vacation" home. I liked the layout of the sim with the steep hillside. I actually kinda liked the name, it's been a good conversation piece when I teleport a friend in for the first time. "Please Join me in Troll Sweat". I did go back and forth a little bit before buying the land because of the sim name, but ultimately if I really like the land, the sim name doesn't matter.
