Hi :)

I currently have a group of people who are joining my store, I created a group and want the other sellers to be able to delete temporary prims setup.

My question is this, Is it possible for them to do that without my having to deed my land to the group and without my having to grant modify rights?

Any help is much appreciated

Kind regards
Natalie

I think things need to be deeded to the group (not the land, the items)
then they need to be in a role that allows manipulation of the deeded items

remember,once deeded, the group owns the objects which can affect scripts and such

test with a friend or alt to confirm

Even if you have full rights deleting just returns the object usually when my friends
and I who share mod rights to things of each other delete each others stuff..
You could just allow those you want the right to have ablity to return prims
but they could also accidentally return everything, I mean everything if they use
the group object tab versus selecting individual items and returning.
Sometimes though even when you got group of people with those rights
to return items,etc occasionally things will go wrong laggy day on mega prim
in sky wrong click on locked object, poof, returned to user, gone bye, bye.
Some no copy items also too when returned in past that were sent group or not
have known in past to literally vanish.
Something you definitely don't want to return to lost and found is one of those
expensive items that will cost lot a whole lot to replace..
But usually most items even deeded to group if you return them they will go back
to original owner's lost and found most of time.

You could put the following into a script in the prims you want to be deleted (and in this case deleted really means deleted they will NOT be returned to your inventory).

You will need to be wearing the group tag when you rez them (or just make sure the prims are set to the correct group). The other group members will then need their tags active to remove the prims by clicking them.

//start of script

default
{
touch_start(integer num_detected)
{
if(llSameGroup(llDetectedKey(0)))
{
llDie();
}
else
{
llWhisper(0,"Sorry you need to activate your group tag to remove me";);
}
}
}

//end of script
