Please post the name of teh radio station and the URL you are trying to use here please. You could have something missing from it.

That's a Windows Media URL and I believe SL Client only supports QuickTime compatible formats.

I just had this happen to me.... If the land is group owned, you have to deed the radio to the group for it to play

I believe Grey is correct, that appears to be a stream type that Quicktime does not support. Try looking for streaming mp3 stations. Some good places to find streams are www.shoutcast.com and www.sky.fm.

it doesn't even play on WMP for me (nor in FF witch usualy opens WMP, it opens the stream but nothing.... this may be one they change each day or hour for that matter...

. the way a shoutcast stream works would be

http://meta.as34763.net:12548(a port #)/ (or other configurations.)

can you post the local radio stations URL and not the stream?, some will have many possible live listen players.. but many others have it set to only play in Windows media (like on a pop up) and even some real fools (My Fav local station) on AOL player only WTF!!! fools!

EDIT Nevermind "We can only offer support for streaming via the Galaxy Listen Live Player"

you do not want to be streaming this on your land anyway hence this "I’m not in the UK, why can’t I listen?
If you live abroad you will probably have noticed a couple of changes with the way you can listen online. This has happened because of a change in the way we are allowed by the music industry to stream on the Internet. Due to new licensing laws we can no longer offer our radio station listen live streams outside of the UK. Sorry. For the majority of listeners, the change will be invisible, as we will able to automatically verify that the network you're connected to is in the UK, and allow you to listen live"

you can find many great stations that play similar music... now playing was Nina Cherry Buffalo stance! search retro, love , love songs, romantic etc. 80s and dance etc in genres at http://shoutcast.com

if I get back in world I can drop a card of about 500 urls that work.
