Assuming you mean the new Release Candidate, it is test software and, yes, it is very unstable.

Try the standard viewer available here:

From what I hear and have read here in forums, you are most assuredly not alone in your problems. I'm sure others here will say to go back to the previous viewer. I've learned to wait for the mandatory viewer update(most of the issues seem to have been corrected by then). I think you can get the previous viewer by downloading it from the website? I'm not a tech head, but I'm sure someone else here can steer you in the right direction.

Hi there,
I was whinging about crashing every 5 minutes on the new version and someone here told me to consider going back to 1.19.1.4 (i think that's it). Since then, I haven't crashed once BUT I can't seem to walk up high steps. Little ones I can navigate but anything over that, I just stop and have to fly. Oh well....I'll search the forum for an answer. The knowledge in here is awesome.

Chalice the walking up steps is in conjunction with the new physics engine Havok 4

(as far as I know)

If I am incorrect I am sure someone will correct me

One of the DJ's at the club I work at crashed ten times in one hour yesterday. Understandably she'd had enough and gave up trying to stay on after that :(

Not certain which viewer she was using but I'd guess it's one of the new RC's as she wasn't having the problems a few days ago.

I have since gave up completely on this viewer.....it was fine if you just wanted to stand in one spot, but try to do anything at all (even check profiles) it was a crashfest.
Have now returned to the regular viewer and quite happy here.
