i got all these crappy tardy noob avi folders from some alexanra linden or some such that cant be deleted or moved between my inventory and the library folders! WHO WANTS THAT CRAP! I IMED that Linden in world and no response
its like instant LL inventory clutter-spam! any heads up on how to trash this tardy trash would be very much appreciated.

Its an issue right now. Your "My Inventory" folder shows bang on in the middle of your libary folders. I have it and lots of people in a group I am in have it to. |

Jumpy, this is a bug, seems to be brand new, see issue:
https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1455 No one has voted for it yet, you may want to do so. If your viewer version is different than that already listed in the bug, you might add a comment giving it. However, the bug is a server-side issue, I believe --- having more viewer versions listed would help reinforce that, though. If anyone wants instructions on how to vote in Jira, just post here asking . |

FYI, the same thing just happened to me. Earlier today my inventory was fine, and now there is a random newbie folder from the library stuck at the root level (along with My Inventory and Library). Of course, there is no option to delete this.  |

Yes, I know I am reviving the dead here, but I didn't want to make people search for this old problem and the thread hasn't been dead that long really.
I never experienced this back in early Feb. but I logged in today to find those wonderful newbie folders at the top of my inventory. I checked the JIRA and followed the instructions to clear cache and relog, but that did not fix the problem. I normally use the 1.18.5.3 viewer with Nicholaz BE-v. However, I have also logged in with version the Official Release version 1.19.0.5, the Release Candidate version 1.19.1.3, and the First Look Dazzle version 1.19.0.82745 and I have the same problem in all of them. Has anyone else seen this problem come back? _____________________

I also had this problem months ago and clearing cache/relogging did *not* fix it at all. Neither did deleting all versions of the viewer, deleting the installation folders and removing the registry entries either. I did that and installed each viewer, one at a time to try to see if it was viewer related - no difference. That indicates to me it is the asset server doing it. It persisted for 5 hours on the time I had it and went away mysteriously after that *whilst* I was logged in. I just happened to open my inventory at the time to discover things were back to normal. Not had it since though I have not logged on today.
