Well, if you want someone to give a 'rat's ass', you'll have to be more specific with your problem...

try taking off all attachments to teleport.

Becuz? Maybe you need a better computer with spell check.

I don't think the spell checker would have anything to do with the ability to teleport, but given the lack of additional information I guess it's as good of a hypothesis as any.

I do know over the years, one big reason people cant teleport is attachments - particularly scripted ones.

I was just joking around referring to spell check in Word or whatever.

Well maybe the scripts aren't spelled correctly. Bradley's Spell Check Theory may require further investigation.

Are you saying since the last update the only way you can get around is either flying or walking or driving some vehicle? That is two weeks ago. You've been stuck at your log in point for two weeks and it's only "Soooooo Annoying"? I think you might be exxagerating a little.

You know, of course, SL has had intermittant log in/asset/teleporting problems lately.........actually since BEFORE the last update to the grid. Maybe that's what you are experiencing. Annoying, yes...........making it impossible to play in SL? Not at all.

At the risk of being caught with a group of hard assed gamers who know everything there is to know about SL and what problems the platform causes (heheheheheh...sorry, I couldn't resist that). There a couple things to try. Clear your cache and relog. Reset your router and/or modem. Defrag your hard drive. Renew your IP in your home network (if you have one). Check for the lastest drivers for your graphics card, audio card, or any other hardware you might be using on SL. See if there are critical updates you need if you are using Windows. Check to see if your cat may have loosened your RJ 45 connectors to your modem/computer/router (or all three). If using a wireless router/modem try hard wiring instead.

Just stomping in and whining about a common problem does not help anyone help you. Tell us what you have tried to solve the problem (if anything), what system you are using (computer specs), the hardware you have, memory, cpu..........something to help us help you. If you have done anything to try to solve your problem and if you have truly been unable to do a thing in SL for over two weeks then you need to call SL. Otherwise give us something to work with.

Have you tried uninstalling SL completly and then downloading it and reinstalling?

I got stuck in an area once, had to type in the name of a region before logging in to get out..logged in at Ahern and was able to go all over the grid (including the place I got stuck at) without issue after that. Doing all the other tips so far doesnt hurt any either. Hopefully you get free soon!

If the destination is on the same mainland continent you could try taking a vehicle over to where you want to go. Try an airplane or a dirigible. You could try walking or even saililng if there are waterways available. I did that once when TPs were wonky and you certainly get a sense of vastness when you fly a large distance and finally get to your destination. Travelling is a facet of reality that we take for granted in SL.

Best thing to do is log off and try later. thats what I tend to do in these situations.
