As mentioned in a service thread:

/119/8a/221070/1.html

we are introducing a service to receive your IM on your mobile phone when you are offline. Never miss any appointment because your IM's are capped. Receive an IM from Japan in the USA on your mobile. This is a very unique service in SL, with a total privacy. No one needs to know your mobile number to send you a textmessage.

For more info, contact me, or react here.

We are also looking for land/shop/club owners to help us promoting this service and to sell credits. Offcourse you will receive a nice bonus for doing this.

Contact us for all your questions.

Best regards,

not to mention cross posting but ppl won`t be able to access their accounts if they forgot they`re passwords as they are using that email, security hole for their accounts and then we have giving out mobil number freely to some one and then all ur emails being sent to there from Linden lab, selling money? they get the email!

god this is brilliant...

Can I get my spam forwarded as well?

Next time, please post to the appropriate forum. Since your content is regarding a product and not something requiring a resident answer, why not post in the forum titled "Products". Thank you.

service? selling something you can get for free?

I can do this through my e-mail acount, I just forward my e-mail to my phone and poof, there it is.... I can even respond...

hell if I wanted I could use my phone's e-mail handle instead of an email in my account settings... then I'd only get sl IM's on the phone instead of all my mail....

Barnum was right...

Reply to Offlines with Caution

Keep in mind that when you respond to offlines from your email, the email address you are using is sent to the user inworld with your message. So if you are replying from your cell phone and your cell email is something like 2024441212@sprintpcs.com, that number will show up in the IM. I am not sure what other info is sent, but I am pretty sure the email is shown.

Just a friendly warning. ;)

Actually, it's only sent if you don't clear it out of the text window. Only whatever's in your text window gets sent and if your email address in in there by default when you reply, that's how your address ends up back inworld.

Not sure about that. I use yahoo, and i`ve sent hundreds, if not thousands, of IMs to people inworld via my email.

Several times, these people reported getting my e-mail addy attached, they also get ads. Neither of these things are there when I send the message but somehow they get them.

No, removing the message before replying DOES NOT send your email address now. It just sends the message to the IM window and looks as if the user could be online.

When I DIDN'T remove the message before replying, I still got NO email address. So I guess that got fixed which is awesome!

This is what came in my IM window:

[2:35] John Doe: OK reply is here.

So I guess you're all safe...for now. :p

Yes, that got fixed more than a year ago ;)

As for the initial post, except being misplaced here, I think Vodafone introduced a similar service a couple of months ago.
