I just uploaded a texture twice and while SL happily took my money both times,there is nothing showing in the preview window.Does this happen often? is there any trick I don't know about to get my texture without paying again?

A grey empty box and dimensions 0x0 is showing. That's it.

I have had that happen only once. May I suggest you clear your cache and try again?

sl does that to me sometimes too
just close the window out and find the texture you uploaded in your inventory and double click on it to open it up.
it should be there. sometimes a slow connection or lag will make it not show up for you in the preview window

Give it a few minutes .. then check your "Textures" folder in Inventory.
More often than not it's in there .. Don't rely on teh preview showing your picture.
try applying teh teture teh usuall way to an object in world.
If it first fails .. wait a while .. check teh blog for misc. errors inworld to be announced.
Then it's just wait out teh error to be corrected and try again.

I have the same problem, and relog only resulted in an even worse situation - now my shape, and some other textures won't load either...

Sometimes that happens to me too. I work a lot with textures.
Usually waiting helps.
What really annoying is when I have saved something as tga with 32mb settings and SL still won't read it.
