Hi all -
I'm sort of stumped - again. I made an object that rezzes another object when anyone touches it. It works perfectly as long as I'm online, but if I'm logged off it runs fine, but nothing rezzes! As soon as I log back in it starts rezzing again like nothing happened.
Any ideas why this is happening?

It *sounds* like you have a temp rez script in it...and those (to my knowledge) only rez when the owner is online.

I think it's more than just that - lots of shops have temp rezzers that will show you the product and these, I assume, work when the owner isn't logged in. I seem to remember something about rezzers (temp or not) and group settings.. Can't seem to bring up the details, though.

If this is the usual problem, it's probably due to the settings on the parcel you're in. If the parcel isn't set to allow any group member to rez and you're depending on being in a role that gives you the ability to always rez objects on group land, the server apparently only knows about the roles you're in while you're online. The prim-counter script doesn't work unless the owner is online. My husband bought a garden once...when he's not online, the flowers in the garden disappear...until he's online. So, it was just my guess...and I'm probably wrong!

Is the land group owned? If so make sure that the owner of the object has rezzing rights set in the group and then make sure that the object doing the rezzing is set to group (it does not need to be deeded to group.) That solved the problem for me with some vendors I built for my store. It is a really weird problem, it took me quite a while to figure out why my vendors would only work when I was online.
Edited to add: I think Argent may be right, the land may have to be set to allow group members to rez objects too, I am not in-world to test that at the moment.
