When it comes to accounts I think you should direct your questions to Linden Labs. Since they are the ones who hold the key. Pick up the phone and call them directly or submit a ticket on the support page Hope you get it sorted. _____________________

The instructions for starting a teen Second Life account seem to be very deficient, as I have recommended the Second Life teen grid on numerous occasions and despite their best intentions no one as far as I know has actually managed to get an account set up.
You need someone with a credit card to phone up Linden Lab and "guarantee" that you are under 18. Why they think that someone who plans to pose as a teenager couldn't get someone to do that for them, or even do it for themselves, I have NO idea. But that's the system... so if you are just trying to register an account on the website, I don't think that will work. Hope this helps! Cali _____________________

I think that the intention of Linden Labs is not that an adult cannot pose as a child. I think that the intention is that if inappropriate behavior ensues with the created account that LL has a contact that they can go after to sue / seize equipment if they wanted to start a pedophile or other sexual harassment case.
LL cannot protect the youth unless they can go after and prosecute perpetrators. |
