Hey

I'm not sure if it's really a scam or not, but I'm assuming it is seeing the guy I bought the item from hasn't responded to notecards or IM's since September.

I purchased a Harley ( motorcycle) from a resident through onrez for 1000L for my fiance's birthday. Unfortunately it doesn't work.

Looks like all it may need is a script reset, I've tried contacting the creater multiple times with no response.

This IMO is a crappy deal, I wasted 1000 lindens on a non working item. I've contacted onrez and they don't seem to care that he is selling things that don't work. Which probably means other people are getting screwed too.

My question is, Is there anyone I can talk to or anything I can do to to make it so this guy doesn't screw anyone else over?

Does On Rez have the option to review the product? I thought they did but I have not been on there in awhile. You could give it an honest review that could warn other potential buyers and also possible get the attention of the seller so that they respond to you.

Did the seller claim it was drivable or describe the speed, scripting, or anything of the sort? (o.o)

Other than that, you probably didn't get cheated in the mind of the builder. You probably bought a very detailed work of art. Stationary art, yes... But art just the same. (^_^)y

September was last month. Sometimes RL takes over - not always in nice ways - and people don't log in for a few months, so I wouldn't assume it's a scam based on that. Even if it is, we're talking about less than $4 here. I'm not saying it's OK to rip people off, just that it's probably not worth it to go all vendetta-y on him.

Another thought: If it's copyable, OnRez is set up to allow you to resend the item for free from the Purchases page. It may not make any difference, but you could at least check to see if perhaps the scripts were just glitched in the original gift version.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Oh yeah he did mention it , very much so. Oh well though, its a shame. and I've contacted onrez a few times with no reply oh well. I guess I'll just do what was suggested before and give a complete honest review.
