I have seen the number of residents online displayed on the login screen, but cannot find this information anywhere else. I thought it might be within statistics, but cannot see it. Can anyone point me to an online answer, so I can check if that is a reason for lag at any time (or just for general interest). Sorry if this is dragging up old threads, but a search didnt yield a simple answer.

The main page of the website also lists the online numbers.

Thank you, it took a bit of finding as it is rather tiny, but provides the information I need.

If you're trying to get this info programatically, see these old blog posts, too:

Unless the lag you're seeing is slowness in rezzing stuff or doing transactions, the number of people online probably isn't the problem.
