Hello,
How do I go about creating/writing a notecard ?
(I'm not trying to sell stuff, but I wanted to pass some text information to an SL friend)

Open your Inventory and the top menu click on Create
And then Chose New Note _____________________

Go to your inventory (Ctrl-I), then /Create/New Note. Change the name to something meaningful, then enter the text in the notecard window. Click "Save", then close the notecard window. To transfer the notecard to your friend, drag and drop the notecard line item from your inventory to you friend's profile window or onto his avatar if he is standing nearby.

Just as an aside since people tend to run into it sooner or later: if you want to drop an object/texture/etc onto an notecard make sure the next owner permissions are set to full permission or it won't let you drop it on there.
