I LifeLess Destiny being filipino (pinoy) wishes that second life creates a pinoy community that is avalible as an option the be the home point for new and existing members. One that is made in the likeness of Manila, PI or Quizon City, PI. The members of second life must acknolage that there is an ever growing pinoy community in the world. Espesialy in the unided states where immigration of filipinos is growing larger and larger. Sercond Life needs this so that the pinoy community pay connect with others that share the same roots. It is a great thing for the liveliness of second life and its members. I hope that members of sl whatever race you are please help support this and help us make other community's for other countries that do not have these inworld communitys to come to and feel really at home.

Second Life itself is not going to create this community - that task will be down to you and others if you want to have it. I'm not sure that Linden Lab will see it as an obligation to acknowledge a particular ethnic group over another in terms of setting up a account signup / orientation island facility. Neither are the residents of SL under obligation to acknowledge any particular group just because you say so. What you will need to do is gather some colleagues and friends, purchase a sim and set up a community as you see fit. Advertise it well enough, and it will attract the people you want to visit it.

But if you get many members in SL like the Germans, then one day they may hire a translator and provide SL to you direct in your language, that's 'one day' not tomorrow or next week.
As Max said, communities are started by the residents rather than by Linden Labs, they are a little bit like a 'reversed' utility company, they set the power supply up and ready, for you to build on and from.

Hi Lifeless, welcome to Second Life . I think the best way for you to start is to get together with a few other Phillipinos and form your own SL Group. You can then build from there on. You can ask Group Members to donate tier if they can afford it, or have some to spare and then use that to buy some land for the Group. Then you can begin to build your own community area. Remember this doesn't have to be a large plot of land to start with. Some of the most successful SL places are quite small - like the Elbow Room and YadNi's Junk Yard - and if things grow at their natural rate they will tend to be successful and longer lived in SL. In the meantime, I suggest you explore SL and learn as much as you can and just enjoy your second life. Best of luck to you.
