Hi all!

I don't mean to be a downer, but is that inventory loss thing still happening? I went to rez a new copy of my house and the whole folder seems to be gone (there were 4 different houses in there!). Then I went to try on a pair of my fav shoes and accidentally put on the one with the sexy walk, that I never wear cause I have an AO, and even though it shows up in my inventory I get a message that says object not found in inventory. Are pixel termites eating my stuff?

I cleared my cache and relogged a few times and nada. I don't know on the shoe, but the houses were there just a day or two ago. Are they poofed for good?

You mean? "Object missing from database?" I've never had an item that did that come back :/

oh yeah, sorry..that was proabaly the message. For the folder with the houses though I didn't even get that. Just gone. :( Oh well. I had one rezzed so I have that one, but they were all no mod so I can't make it like the other variations. I guess if I get homesick I can just buy them again. :P

Folders have a tendency to migrate...I found my Shoe folder in my Notecards the other day and I know I didn't put it there. Did you try searching the name of one of your houses?

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Sadly, yes both before and after I cleared my cache. I think they got poofed.

It is just so wierd. Makes me nervous about what else could be gone. Oh well. :) Could be worse, the things that I have lost can easily be replaced.. I just thought this bug was fixed.

It's a sad state. The database that SL uses is MySQL for all it's database needs. But, the problem crops up when databases get so big; they tend to slowly corrupt..data is lost. Who knows, maybe one day, we will log on only to find that our accounts no longer exist...gone, poof, history, in the archives. "Avatar not found in database."

But, hey..look on the bright side, MySQL is free.

Last night, I tried to use a small script I wrote on Sunday and got the 'script missing from database' error.

Yep. It's still happening.
