looking for pirate tavern

Avast me hearties! I ran aground the other day and bumped right into some pirate clothes that enable any landlubber to pretend at pirating. Alas, after me and me faire lass were decked out in our finest we were unable to located a suitable pirate haven.

I spent the good part of an hour hopping from empty sim to empty sim, hoping to find a bustling RP tavern in some secret pirate cove. At last my girl found a nice place with a big sign above it that read "Pirate Bar". Perfect! It was full of people too! In fact... there was a tricerotops... a robot.... a handful of girls dressed like escorts, some punk boys and some jocks.... oh wait... where are the pirates? No matter.... I enter conversation doing my best to talk like a pirate and demanded grog from the nearest serving wench.

Dead silence.

Me: Hello?

Dead silence....

Me: 50L to the first person to say hi

Some girl: hi

So, I get to talking with her (using babblefish because she spoke only french). Turns out she was doing a "Traffic Injection" service and everyone there was a bot. Oi oi... what a dissappointment.

Anyway, that suckage aside. Does anyone know a great place for grog drinking, cursing, and general pirating RP?

I think that's the place I saw you at.. lol I left pretty quickly.. I'm not real sure of a place for Pirates. I do remember a while back a place with old ships and stuff. Can't remember for the life of me where it is. I'll ask around.

Try Beek Haven! I don't RP but I've been there a few times and it seems like a great place. Appropriate attire is required and they seem to have a great community going.

Tortuga Mall is a pirate-themed area. However, it's stores. I don't recall seeing a tavern there.

What pirates have is a day, not a place. International Talk Like a Pirate Day, September 19.

Still, there MUST be a pirate tavern somewhere on the grid. We got pretty near everything else.

There used to be a wonderful little pirate's pub in Sanchon. Pirates congregated there after the Pirate Battles every Saturday; if you find where those battles are now being held, you probably will find that bar, which had a wonderfully tacky all-pirate-all-the-time radio station they used for music

This isnt exactly a pirates tavern so to speak but theres a great group called Treasure Quest Hunters you can join. Their HQ's are at Treasure Quest Isle which is a pirate themed sim. They have weekly treasure hunts too where you can win great stuff ( or booty if you will) when you solve a number of clues and theres usually a dance or 2 happening during the week with a live DJ.

yep Beek haven is good, ya have to be in pirate garb to be there and they have battles and all, also try the grouo sl pirates and they announce the different goings on.
