Everyone,

My loving partner and I are setting up residence on a 4096 parcel in a medieval sim (not Gorean!), and are looking for a nice manor home.

So far we have not found anything we like, mainly because it is just difficult to do comprehensive house shopping in SL (a topic for another time.)

We are looking for recommendations: high quality prefabs, and outstanding builders who could build a custom house for us.

Germane to this request, we are not looking for a giant house to put on it since we want to keep a lot of open space (maybe something more appropriate for a 2048 parcel), nor do we want a house that is dungeon-like (dark and dreary and rough rock), but rather something lighter and more polished, yet still within the medieval sim theme.

Thanks in advance for your references and advice!

Look up Serra Anansi in the inworld search, and look at her picks for her stores. She makes incredible historical builds. Heavily involved in Winterfell, and and Caledon.

Her main store is called In Perpetua.
In Perpetua Prefabs and Furniture, SkyBeam (48, 87, 38)

Enjoy!

Foundry are industrial and good at that BUT they also do some very nice brickwork and houses/round houses/ etc that ar eevocative of buildings I have seen in England etc that MAY be what you are looking for. Theye have a large display area so fly around until you find what you are looking for. I build my own houses but have bought many Foundry pieces.
Also try their texture building called Origin. You will see one of their larger buildings actually being used by them. I recommend them. Putting in place their buildings is an art in itself BUT worthwhile.
