Teleport Redirect and land owners

I have teleport redirect to landing point on a parcel (group owned), and when I teleport to that parcel from a different Sim by clicking on the Map to an area that is on the parcel but not at the landing point, I end up at the landing point anyway! But, if I am in the same Sim as the parcel, I can teleport to anywhere else on the parcel.

If I have a landmark to this same parcel, then I can teleport to it from outside the Sim and I do not get redirected to the landing point.

Has this always been so? I always thought the land owner is exempt from teleport redirects, even if they are part of group.

The only thing that overrides a landing point is your home setting. If it isn't home, you're hitting the landing point.

The land is Group Owned. The land owner can override the landing point. You are not the owner of the land. Therefore you go to the landing point.

I ran into this myself the first time I set up group-owned land. You get used to it.

I can and am used to it, but it only happens when I come in from a different Sim! Also, if I use a landmark I can go to the landmark on the parcel instead of the landing point.
