Hmm. . .come to think of it---I dont' remember checking out the forums yesterday. And I haven't found the blog post.

Wait ….. so bots can change themselves if misclassified as human? :eek:

It does seem sort of backwards, doesn't it?

But it makes a twisted sort of sense when you realize that when responding to inquiries from the web page, the account is being driven by its live human owner, not the bot software.

It's for the honest landowners who don't want their models to count for traffic. Which means... yeah, it's not going to be used as much as LL thinks it will be.

if LL decides to do anything about the ones using them for traffic it will give them an easier target separating the ones wanting to be honest from the ones that decided to risk it..

So if nothing happens we'll know again nothing was done..hehehe

I got a real kick out of how they decided to start at the bottom of the list looking for traffic manipulation leaving the ones that were at the top of the traffic really doing the damage untouched..
I don't really think anything is gonna happen but it's still a neat idea..just probably won't be enforced like the rest..

Speaking of bots for traffic manipulation I have seen some pretty funny ideas. One sim I went to had an entire club full of people. I mean, dancers, DJ, patrons, host the whole nine yards all bots (and no it wasn't just a boring club)!

Another guy had roads on his sim, so about 2000 or whatever meters in the air he had a duplicate road system, same turns and all with bots standing up there on the road. THAT was pushing them off for awhile.

One I put two bots on poles with tip jars and....yes people sat and tipped them :)
