Yes, in some other thread it seemed like whoever owned "The Bank" just ran off with all deposits. I hope it wasn't too costly a lesson.

Think someone should make it very clear to newer players - there is no such thing as a bank in Second Life.

Damn. And their name sounded so official too.

Please folks. Be careful out there. If the interest rate seems to good to be true...

Not quite sure why someone would use an sl bank unless they were holding money for other accounts. For that purpose I would do it the old fashioned way > pen and paper.

So sorry for your loss though and am hoping that you didnt loose too much.

A Dyslexic friend told me this one:

Did you hear about the note used by the dyslexic bank robber? It said" F**k 'em up Mother Sticker. This is an Uphold."

True story: I was hiking along in Topanga State park and coming down the path towards me was none other than Ted Levine, the guy who played Jame 'Buffalo Bill' Gumb.

We made eye contact and I recognized him immediately. The expression on his face was sad and what he was thinking was painfully clear: "Yes, I am who you think I am, and no, I'm not going to kill you."
