Wearing one shoe in SL

Hi! I have been rather fascinated by the Cinderella theme and looks. I've even thought about special Cinderella party. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to wear one shoe in SL with a grace... You know - either your bare foot it shaped for shoe, or your shod foot is seen through a shoe. Can something be done to bring it back to normal? Or is it the unavoidable limitation of the engine?

Prim foot.

Works better when you're playing "the tall brown fox with one red shoe" than when you're a human, of course.

I can't say I ever have the need to walk around in just one shoe but I do like to get out my special 'port and starboard' boots where one is red and the other is green, from time to time!!!

Prim foot? What is that? And why only for a fox?

If you have a furry avatar, your feet are already made out of prims, so you can have paws.

What he meant was you could have a sculpted prim like a bare foot on the unshod foot, looking "normal" but with the same sort of invisiprim that the shoe side uses to hide the forced heel in the mesh of the unshod foot. You'd also need a very specialized walk animation override, to give you the lopsided one-shoe gait when walking or running.

Or... Just wear flats. Cinderella's "Glass slipper" was a mis-translation. The French word for glass and the French word for squirrel-skin are very close to one another, and believe me, a squirrel-fur lined slipper would be much more comfy!

pretty much all nonhuman avatars come with prim fur and paws on the feet and legs, and usually on the forearms and hands as well.

I think there's prim human feet you can get that have separate toes... but they have a bit of a cankle problem because they can't cover the ankle with fur.

It doesn't seem that long ago when walking around with one shoe on your foot and the other attached to your derriere was quite a common experience.

That's where Ankle straps on the shoe, or ankle bracelets, or beautiful twined Elven ankle greenery come in.......to cover cankles. Cankles are possible wearing prim feet or not, they just 'are'.....

I know what you are talking about. But where to get it from?

Shoe? HA! I remember the good ol' days of walking around with my head up my butt after a teleport! Just one of the many hazards of being a doggie in a world made for humans.

Ok, sorry, my mistake.

Here is a link for the invisprim script.
http://avatartoolbox.googlepages.com/Invisiprims.html
Just drop it in a prim. This will hide part of your avatar body, adjust the prim to cover what you want to and hide what you dont want to see.
