Heya guys I'm quite lucky as in i don't usually have issues in sl.... But i live in England and when theres an update..you have to update or else you can't access sl Anyway... Since i updated yesterday a few lil things are driving me crazy! Firstly and most importantly...when i click on any object..it doesnt say how many prims the object is..which is virtually impossible to live with! Also when i click on one of my attatchments to edit it...it brings the normal pie chart up of profile..apearance etc...then it says more and when you click that it gives you the option of another pie chart which lets me then edit my attatchment Also when someone logs out ..i get blinded by bright light all over my screen..lol Anyway most importantly can anyone help me with the object showing how many prims its made of...pretty please Thank you. love Prueee.x

For the prim count on objects that are not your own, right click and click Edit - twice.
Incidentally, I'm in England too, and I don't have to get the optional new viewers in order to continue using SL.

Look more carefully at the Editor window in the RC viewer. The object and prim counts are there at the top level now, above the tabs, and to the right of center.

Look in the Tools menu, make sure to turn off "select only my objects" and "select only movable objects." Then you won't have to deal with clicking twice silliness.
Some recent updates seem to enjoy flipping these settings to "on" for some people.
Also if you are playing with 1.23 RC0, the prim count has been moved. It's in the top section of the edit window, above the tabs, now. That is probably where it should have been all along, but it's definitely annoying at first if you are accustomed to the old layout.

From: Prue Dejavu Thanks Phil for replying..i'm in sl now and it doesnt work... When you click on a object you can only click edit once. Thanks for yer reply Prue x Do the whole thing twice - right click and Edit. Clicking Edit makes the pie disappear, so you need to right click the object again to click Edit again. That's while the Edit box is open from the fist right click->Edit. ETA: I see I was too late with this post

I prefer the prim count in the new position, because I can see it whichever tab of the edit window I'm on - useful for checking you've got the right number of prims selected when you're moving or retexturing 5 prims out of a 12 prim object for example.
