I feel really bad for those people who want to keep their homesteads but the owner of the main sim does not want to keep the Homestead sim itself.

I'd think of offering to take them - as long as the Homestead owner paid for transfer etc, however they don't know me and I don't know them - so that would be no good either. Which is a problem with anyone offering this service - or are their people out there doing this?

Just seems no matter what - everyone is still getting screwed.

/end whine

Obligatory question: What are Homesteaders doing?

I've made some accommodations for people in exactly that situation.

So have some other people I know; basically there has been a huge rush toward 'security' and estates that are strong enough to survive the disaster.

There are a lot of refugees out there right now. Most of us with relatively strong estates are doing what we can, but of course, taking on everyone needing a new landlord for their openspace might not be the wisest thing, especially if 'profit' margins are thin.

I say 'profit' in quotes, because it doesn't take long for a suddenly empty openspace to unwind said 'profits' and start digging a huge financial crater for itself.
