Overtime I bought up around me, but I've decided to try to sell off.

I guess trying to make some regular sized plots is a good idea, or does it really matter?

I kind of have a mess of plots on my hand.

Don't think the land bots care.

So if you want to sell at a higher price than landbots would pay you might want to make nice parcels.

If you don't want that land to be sold to an ad farmer, you have to make it part of a contiguous larger parcel in the hopes that it won't get cut up. But if you sell small parcels, you are pretty much guaranteeing that only ad cutters will be coming your way.

Or neighbors, hoping to stave off the ad cutters. Which kinda makes the seller an.... Ummm. Well, neighbors are often the most interested buyers. :o

For some people, land that has attractive buildings on it and included in the sale are a good selling point (that's part of how Anshe Chung made her fortune). This isn't the be-all-and-end-all, but might just be enough to make people not mind the funny shape so much. Many people don't care about the buildings, but you might just find that they generate a little bit more interest than the parcel otherwise would have done.

But the best neighbor is one that will make full use of a contiguous parcel. Selling bits and pieces invites further sale of bits and pieces in the future. Most people in the game know diddly about land, including many land owners.

I bought very odd shaped land.. it was 2048 metres, but enough of it was a rectangle that I could work with it for the original purpose (A club) Now I've gone up to almost 10k...and a bunch is just empty for prims.

If you want to sell odd shaped land, make it into a unique garden using linden plants and such.. it'll raise the appeal, and awareness that it can look good, plus probably disguise the odd shape.

Mine was bare.. I just liked its location lol.

Cut it up into 16m plots and place ads all over them. Isn't that what everyone does?

You should sell it in whatever way gets you the best deal.

Selling fast might be one consideration because of tier.

I wouldn't worry what the next owner is gonna do with it - since whoever buys it from you likely will also be selling it soon enough.

My land (2560 m2) is very oddly shaped too, because I bought it in slices of 512 plots. I think cutting it up in 512s is a good idea if you can't find a buyer.
