how do u turn off auto exit. sometimes it just completely randomly exits, no error messages or anything.

And sometimes when building it looks like a prim tries to align itself or something, it seems to move slightely, how do u turn that off?

I've never heard of auto exit, so I'll let someone else handle that one.

Auto alignment of prims... First, it is only supposed to happen when your mouse is outside of the ruler thing that shows when you are moving the prim. Also, I think in the edit box at the top right there is a "use grid" option. I could be making that part up... will go check. :)

ETA: Yep, "use grid" checkbox.

Also, there are bugs that cause prims to move slightly. I think it happens more if you are building up high, but I don't know much about it.

If you are laggy, sometimes a prim will seem to move back to where you moved it from. If you're moving small bits that might be it. Sometimes just moves randomly for me though (I'm laggy. I have crap netz. I hate my area)

It annoys the hell out of me, but they move back after a second or two, once the laggy-ness recovers

Auto prim alignment. That's a beauty.
Maybe you meant Auto-prim misalignment.

It's what I know as a bug (click bug, rotation bug, !@#$%^ annoying repetitive bug in the system and has been part of building since a long time ago.
There is no fix. Sometimes SHIFT/COPYING a prim might stabilise it but not for long.
You can try to go to texture mode and click it, it may line up. Then SHIFT CLICK another prim or two away from the build the SHIFT CLICK the offending prim to deselect it. It may stay put till you touch it again.
You may even have a "poisened prim" which stops linking and must be found and removed/replaced before continuing.
Learn to live with it. Several builds of mine have this built in because I just couldn't spend more hours trying to repair it.
Might be fixed in havok4 so I guess you will have to wait and see.

Good luck and if you find a fix tell everyone.

Oh yeah, as for exiting, theres a checkbox in prefs to dissallow the confirmation dialog box. Allowing a Ctl + Q to exit quickly.

Linden Lab strictly aheres to Microsoft's standards and practices for software development. Subsequently, the SL viewer will try to second guess when you want to exit and simply do it for you. In some cases, it may determine that you've been working too much and exit you as a way of telling to go out an enjoy first life for a bit before returning.

They've also implemented auto-reboot and and auto-BSOD for your computing convenience.

Thanks LL!!
