Hello all, Once again I'd like to take advantage of all the collective knowledge out there to save myself some time. I'm lazy. I admit it. I would like to ask: Where can I find the best New England or Victorian style prefab houses? I'd like something more cottage-like with the usual amenities such as locking doors and windows that have privacy option. Also, on stilts would be nice as the parcel I have is rather hilly. If you know of a good, reputable builder I might be willing to go that route too, btw. Thanks for any help you can provide! Solanghe

There are some New England sims with covenant that specify the styles of houses allowed. If you visit one or more, you can find out who the makers are. Search for Nantucket, Fishers Island, Mystic ... good luck!

There is a prefab store on Nantucket (island) that has houses like that. Just tp there and look in the shops, you'll find it. I also saw some at "out of time" prefabs. Some can be a bit pricey though but good quality. There is a place that had really cool new england homes on stilts but for the life of me I can't locate the landmark or remember the name.

Have you seen Paige Raven's Houses and furniture? Look at her profile, she has a pick for them, you might love them (and her prices)

Thanks for the helpful responses guys! *Avacea: What I mean is New England style architecture, such as the homes that are found along the coastal cities such as Cape Cod and up through Nova Scotia. They are quite distinctive - usually all wood, shuttered windows, 2 stories or more...very charming and cottage like. You can do a google search for images of that will bring up tons of hits.
