Backup Inventory?

What methods do you use to backup your inventory? Is there any way to backup out of SL??

There's no way to backup out of SL......every bit of content in SL, yours included is saved on the server side.

The only real way to back up what you have is by keeping copies of any copiable items. If an item in your inventory does not have copy permissions.....you can't back it up. But....what a lot of folks do is create an alt account and give that alt copies of any and all copiable materials in inventory....so should anything dramatic happen to the main account.....the alt would at least have some recovery capacity to draw from.

Otherwise....it's really a gamble. After over 3 years in SL myself....and nearly 22000 objects acquired over that time......I've lost maybe 50 items....maybe. I really have no idea, but it's not significant enough for me to even recall anything of importance that I've lost.
Textures.....as a an aside....if they are yours, of course, are stored on your hard drive. If you create a texture and upload it.....then you have a backup.....or, you can also save full perm textures to your hard drive. But that's really the only thing you can literally take from SL into your own computer.

If you use the Meerkat viewer you can backup things you have full perms to, including huge builds.

There are only a very limited number of ways to do a backup and non can backup everything.
meerkat has been mentioned to backup builds, slinventory can make backups as wel but not sure how good it is and what it can backup, varius forms of copy bot can be used to backup things but there is no way to get a complete backup of your inventory simply because it was never intended to be able to be backed up.

the best way for backing up is if LL would offer that as a service, a bit like requesting a rollback of a sim to a previus state if something goes wrong.
