Here is my problem.
I just bought 25.00usd worth of lindels on the site. But it wont let me convert it into Lindels! Each time I go to "buy lindels" on the site it says ive exceeded the daily limit, which makes no sense cause my character has 0 lindels, and i have 25usd just sitting on account. Very frustrating, my only guess is you have to wait a day to convert your account credit to lindels?? that would be stupid indeed. I would really appreciate any feedback on this, my best efforts to get my lindels i just paid for to show up have been utterly futile. IF you solve this conundrum you will be my hero for life. thanks.

I've read that thing a few times now, it still leaves me baffled, after putting real money into my second life account how come it refuses to let me convert it into lindens? According to that chart new players should be able to buy 10$ worth of lindens a day, and yet i exceed my billing limit if I try to buy 2 dollars worth, any further elaboration would be appreciated. thanks

I'm guessing, but maybe you already hit your daily limit when you put the money into your account? I had a hard time understanding it all when I started and guess what? I still do Welcome to SL, you might have to wait till tomorrow to buy lindens.

Maybe your right, I just thought that the action of putting in credit to an account and exchanging said credit into ingame money, would be separate. I guess Ill wait till tomorrow to find out, till then im going to go find some trash cans to dig around in. Thanks for all your feedback : )

when you put money into the account, it causes you to hit the limit (I know it is rather stupid way of doing it) so you will have to wait that time limit for the next level (1 day)
then you will be able to use that USD to buy the lindens you want
(that is why I tell anyone who ever thinks they might need to buy lindens, to do a small transaction of USD to start that timer, since it doesn't start when you register, it starts when you make a transaction

Applying credit to the account IS different then actually buying L's. The 'credit' on your account will go toward payment of fees if you are a premium member....the best way to purchase lindens is to just go in world and click the little L' on the top right and buy lindens. There's always a limit when you first get started, until the account has been properly verified or validated or whatever......I forget how long it takes...but I think it was like a couple weeks when I first got in. I almost always buy L's in world tho.....or purchase L's on the web site.....the one time I mistakenly added credit to my account.....it was automatically accessed to pay my tier when I owned mainland.

Putting the money into your account was one transaction. Converting USD to L$ would be a second one, and you exceeded your transaction limits. Sadly, you'll have to wait it out a few days now until your trading limits are raised.
For further reference, it is not needed at all to first put a USD balance to your account. Just hit the little blue "buy L$" icon when you're inworld and purchase as little as you need.
