Heya. I'm a freelance journalist working on a feature about gaming and romance, and I'm looking for people who wouldn't mind being interviewed.
Interviews will be done via email, won't take long, and I can use an alias if you're shy. I'd need a picture, but a picture of your avatar is fine.
The story is for a women's gaming site called Green Pixels, so I'm primarily looking for women's stories. Perhaps you met your now real-life husband online in Second Life, or you live out a fantasy world as a cyber escort or cyber dominatrix? Or perhaps you have a great relationship with a guy you're married to in Second Life, but have absolutely no intention of meeting in real life? Perhaps you're married to someone different in Second Life than you are in real life?
If you're interested, please send me an email at emmaboyes@gmail.com.
Thank you very much!

Emma
ps I just started playing Second Life and I think it's awesome!

At least you are actually using SL. Good luck with your project.

I won't do email but you can IM me. I was shacked up with a werewolf and now have a satyr for a partner.

Thanks all for your replies. I've tried doing IM interviews before and they don't tend to come out very well. I think it's because replies on IM tend to be typically brief, and interview answers really need to be long and descriptive. Most people also review emails before they send them and self-edit to make them read better--something you can't do on either on IM.
I'm definitely going to explore more of Second Life when I get a chance though.
Thanks again!

then do not use im's
use a notecard, dropped on the person's inventory slot of their profile
(same as using email, just think of it as in world email)

then they can review, and reply at leisure, and then send it back

that way no one has to use their email address for anything

They are taking away the forums... it could be worse, they could be taking away the forums AND Second Life...
