I've always thought our skybox club, with its moving star textures and working planetarium, was one of the coolest and most unique places in SL.

Yesterday, it just got a whole lot better.

A friend of one of my business partners, Talin Sands, is a master builder. He constructed an amazing replica of the Statue of Liberty in the NYC sim (and everyone should go see it!). My partner talked Tal into re-doing our club for us.

Yesterday, he shows up, 700 meters above our sim. And he's a rabbit. Yes, a two-foot tall cute fuzzy bunny with a jetpack.

The rabbit gets right to work, and practically before my eyes, our club is completely rebuilt. New shape, new textures, new interior decor. Prettier, more functional, and better tied in with the "Greek Gods" theme of our build.

So I just wanted to use this space to say a big Thank You to the wonderbunny, Talin Sands. You do meet the most amazing people in SL.

Oh...the RA question. Who have YOU met in SL who amazed, delighted, or amused you?

I met Sarah Nerd other day, saw her near my riverboat and decided to say hi. She was very nice for someone who I thought would be entirely too busy to return my IM ;)

Light Waves on all accounts, both through his work and though the few times we've talked. I especially enjoyed him sending me a piccie in the Rudolph nose I gave at Yule.

Arcadia Asylum, for her amazing free content. Stuff that is worth more than much pay content in SL. Ditto to Aley Araj for the colness of Privateer Space, as well as some of the other hobos I've met along the way.

Lumiere Noir for the UFO and the Rocket Scooter, as well as the breathtaking work on Planet Mongo.

Robin Sojourner, for some of the amazing stuff I see her do -- especially all the "simple" scripting I see her putting out lately.

Jill Caldera and Gattz Gilman, for their dedication to HardKnock Elementary and Camp HardKnock, and all they do with them.

And of course, my in-world family, who amaze, delight, and amuse me all the time.

Mari

My Sim mate she always seems to know a whole of things and is extremely patient with me.
And my Queenly neighbor who has often inspired and encouraged me in other ways.
There is numerous others but I won't mention names.

Great thread!

Let's see - besides Lindal?

Oryx Tempel for about a million reasons, including the amazing work she did with me on the project-which-must-not-be-named, and for teaching me the basics of building when I probably frustrated her to the point of tears, plus everything else she's done to help a hapless newb like me.

Pretty much everyone here in the forums (including the people I usually disagree with) at one point or another has made my day brighter or flat-out blown my mind. The forum guys are a great bunch of friends, and the forum women continually amaze me.

SL attracts some pretty unique, talented and interesting people. It attracts it's share of a-holes and morons, as well, but you don't have to look far to find someone doing something amazing.

A mentor named Hollyjean Allen.

Never met anyone like her. I normally don't get along with other women online but she is an exception. She's a loving caring wife (her hubby is online too)...is dedicated to her groups and amazes me with her ability to jump in and get a job done!

People IM her just to come to their function and get the party started!!

SL is amazing - and HJ is one of the ones who makes it so.

I've taken a couple of classes at GQ and was amazed how patient and kind the volunteers who teach these classes are. To give up their time to teach a few (we were about 3 or 4 the times I went) the basics of building is wonderful. I will say it once again, these people are PATIENT! A quality I lack... Thanx GQ :)

Countless people, but my favorites have to include Sarah Nerd, Rosie Castro, Nimue Jewell, Cory Edo, Suzanne Pascal, Nika Talaj and Oryx Tempel. Oh and Trout Recreant, just to get a dude in there.
