Greasemonkey Upgrade Has Messed Up Pics

Today when I logged into Firefox I was advised of a Greasemonkey upgrade, which I did. Now all of a sudden I don't show pics in the forums. Instead I now have links to the pics instead. Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a fix for it?

sounds like a firewall issue. can you browse your firewall settings to find the one that has images blocked?

From: 3Ring Binder sounds like a firewall issue. can you browse your firewall settings to find the one that has images blocked? Seems odd that it was ok right up to the moment that I upgraded to the new Greasemonkey but I'll give it a try.

Maybe it has to do with turning images off in User CP...

Yay! It worked!
If you're anything like me, you probably turned it off yourself because you thought all those pictures were annoying. The only problem is, you then feel kind of left out. It took me about 2 days before turning them back on, hehe.

I didn't think about it turning off the pics in the messages too. * smacks head and feels like an idiot.

sure you can... just block the picture server >=)
righ click the offending picture (or ads on other sites) open (or create) the file 'hosts' (no extension) in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\ directory, add a line that reads
127.0.0.1 <name of the site>
and save... thereafter all calls to that site will reflect to your own computer, and come up empty

Then again....you could just ignore them manually....  I just block out what I don't want to see.....by looking away.

From my not overly knowledgeable vantage point is seems to me that it might be possible for a skilled Javascript writer - say Strife Onizuka, aka Blind Wanderer, to select one completely at random - to write a Greasemonkey script that would hide the pictures in signatures.
