Have any of you who are SL business owners run into the situation where, after a customer makes a purchase at your store, you find you are now somehow placed on their mute list? I have noticed this about a half dozen times in the past month or so. They will make a purchase and then, perhaps, send me an IM with a question and then not be able to see my reply because, ultimately, my name has "magically" appeared on their mute list. As you can imagine this has been a great source of confusion as my customers think I am ignoring their queries. In the cases where a vendor doesn't deliver and they're requesting either their money back or a replacement item, if they think I am not replying, you can imagine how angry they become... and rightfully so! I am most interested in learning if any other merchants out there have had similar problems. Warmest regards, Bartiloux Desmoulins

I think you're being bamboozled by your scripters...pretty cruel joke if you ask me.

Wow, that is harsh for a store owner to have to deal with! Check the scripting on your vendors or some object in your store to see if it might be the cause, tis all I can say, because I haven't seen this myself.

It seems to be a random bug, I had this problem buying from a rather large designer. Anytime I would buy from one of his vendors, it would place him on mute. We had a thread about this a few months ago. Another resident was having the same problem with a store that sold AO's.

They could be doing it themselves too...
When the blue dialog box appears that says "An object named... has given you a object named..." there are three buttons.
[Keep] [Discard] [Mute]
I know I've almost hit mute a few time myself.

I know I've almost hit mute a few time myself. In my case I was not getting that option. It was taking my money, then I would get the message "You have refused XXXX from ZZZZZ" or words to that effect.
