I need an empty, water sim (or one that can made water), at least 9000 prims free.
Why?
The new version of my yacht is finished, it is 9000 prims. My friend the builder needs to take pics of it and the sim it was built it is no longer available.
Some of you have seen the first version, The Pelorus, 167m long. 5000 prims, we used for our home and wedding in 2008. The new yacht, The Escapade, is approximately the same size, just an entirely higher level of detail, 9000 prims worth.
Can anyone help us out?
Thank you in advance!

I can't help you with the sim but woah a 9K yacht! I want to see pictures when you are able! I was going to suggest trying to rezz it on the Blake Sea but just remembered that the majority of them are homesteads so won't support all those prims. However, I think there are a few sims that are full prim sims .. the ones with islands on them that usually have small rez zones to rez your sailboat. Most of the Blake Sea have small rez zones on the NE corner of each sim that you *might* be able to rez it on and then drag/sail it to a suitable area for picture taking. I'm really not sure if it would be doable but something you can investigate if you're stuck.

There's some regions on the beta grid that might fit if you can't find anything else:
Aegean (60 minute auto-return; 14k+ prims free; clean) Sulu (no auto-return; 14k+ prims free; another boat rezzed on it) Baltic (no auto-return; 14k+ prims free; some clutter)

there's 3 or 4 sims between ANWR and the mainland, all water, all full sims I believe, and you can rez there. I actually have access to a full water sim, but it's a homestead open space, low prim, whatever you call it, so not even 9k prims available. Sort of odd you'd build such a huge primmed object. What would be the point whereas likely cannot rez it permanently anywhere.
Another option would be to download openSim and setup your own grid with an island or two. You have full control so you can make it a full water sim with nothing but water all around, perfect for taking pictures if that's you're only plan.
Again, why 9k prims? I'm sure you could probably get that number down if you use sculpties.

That is simply stunning. *blinks* If i had a full sim to play on, I'd buy it just to set up and park for weddings and stuff.. The pictures are amazing.

I have a resident drooling and salivating over it already; he is always trying to rez something huge on his land (he's a boat freak) and I would not be at all surprised to see this. He is really somebody who needs his own sim, with nothing on it, for his boats.

Where does that map of the Blake Sea come from? It has ferry routes marked: is there really a ferry service there? Or was there at some point in time?

Kay, I think the ferry is still in beta while the route is finalized and the ferry scripts are tweaked. Michael Linden and the Linden Department of Public Works are building this. Next year, a route may be developed west around Nautilus City.
