Is there anyway to make a gesture so that when a gesture triggers it usually makes the rest of the chat skip a line?

Not that I can find. You can of course have a blank chat line as part of the gesture, but that line will be prefaced with the timestamp and your name. But for a completely blank line, neither the gesture chat nor the trigger replacement text seem to treat "\n" as a newline, and don't seem to produce ASCII newlines (nor tabs, nor much of anything else) when pasted explicitly in those fields.
