Hmm I wonder how well that might work as a social experiment , a dozen sims, everyone has buildrights and parcel powers, everyone can edit/take anyones stuff. Orbit each other, whatever. Of course getting people to pay for the servers would be hard, have to charge eveyone $10 per month for their freedom, premium or something to get in and stop free players from crashing the grid etc.. Just for fun make everything transferable but nothing copyable but also destroyable or it perished slowly with age.
Maybe killing another avatar prevents them from logging in for 24 hours or just gives you all their stuff.
Money? Hmmm would be a damn good motivator for action.
Maybe a stipend, but you could only cash out if your balance was over say $500L.
You wouuld still be bound by LL TOS or if it was your own grid, your own morality and willing to risk having Governmnts / Media sfter your skin, if you chose to allow kiddie porn etc. Otherwise only interfering inworld in extreme circumstances, like nukes etc.
Perhaps allow visitors to wander through at their own risk, but not able to interact with the system or be victims?
This could nearly be considered gambling.............
What would you do to make it interesting?

Oh, it'd be interesting, all right. :)

I think giving everybody the right to take or edit each other's objects is going too far. Unless you also allow people to put up some sort of security system to protect themselves.

People should also be able to edit each other's avatars.

Well if automated defense is allowed then so is automated attack. Otherwise perhaps people may have to band together to protect each others stuff.
Yeah the ability to script WMD's could be a showstopper, but you don't earn money unless people come in, maybe make the monthly charge inverse to the number of users per month so any dumb stuff results in a big expense to maintain.
Maybe prevent creation of prims, make them grow from the ground or something, maybe they would be the best currency. Alow people to buy their prim limit?
There's a lot of ways at basing the economy on something like this, mind boggling and much more fun than rats in a maze :)

That's where my suggestion of a Thunderdome would come in.

Posibly could be interesting effct, though maybe not as much net effect for effort as just being able to edit peoples stuff. Maybe you can't edit other peoples stuff, but you can take it then edit it :)

Examples of how it might be used?

Ah! The Good Old Days! When this was Deadwood with the morals of Whitechapel and Leeds' Chapeltown.
When snuff didnt mean the stuff you sniffed and Neko hunting was Gor's national sport!:)

Sounds like my idea of Hell, personally. Or a griefer's paradise. I'd stay far, far away from any sims set up like that.

I'd also advise anyone who was considering going into such an area to be armed to the teeth, and using an at that has zero L$ balance at all times.

Yes I'm sure it could be termed as hell for many, some might enjoy living ther for the challenge, some may just like to visit. It's just a random idea escaping my head (it's overcrowded and they escape sometimes), maybe someone who can actually complete a project can try it :)

I remember when Nekos were anarchistic and often got into trouble. But teh practise of Neko as rather violent, mischievous, sexual and alluring creatures has been replaced (to a great part) as pin-up sexual or Goth kit-kats and Emus.

Emus? Like the big flightless birds? As a pin up? (They do tend toward anarchy - see what happens when they get out of the pen.)
