What Happened To The Edge Nightclub?

I had been away for a while and just recently got back into SL. I went to Edge region and was heart broken to find that instead of The Edge Nightclub being there it was instead buildings. Did the Edge dance Nightclub close?

It did close a few weeks ago, and there were announcements about it. I went to look round the site a day or two ago and the Edge was still there, deserted and silent, in its final form, which was an open-air stage on one side of a lagoon and a shopping parade along the other.

Yes it closed a while back, the owners wanted to do some other things I guess.
The Edge was the first club I went to on SL, a friend of mine from a few other games hosted there, and a few of us decided to try SL to see what the heck she was up to when she wasn't healing us! So we made avs and she tp'd us to Edge. It will always have a fond place in my SL memories. I won my first contest there (they had great contests) and I was all OMG $500L!!! I was there for the last dance, it was sad to see it go.
It never lost popularity, it was a really great and busy club with great people working there, it wasn't one of those clubs that just closed because no one went there any more.

Research it. I on the other hand used to be her friend and witnessed it first hand as did hundreds of others. Freebie sellers are crap, i do not care what else they do and if all they can put on their resume is a club that destroyed SL oldest sim and selling freebies then it just reinforces the "fact" that they are crap and a detriment to this virtual world. I will not forget. Ever. You do not sell my friends things just because they left SL or permissions are bugged. It is a low person that does this. |

I just went back to the Edge - I said above that it was still there, deserted and silent until a few days ago. But now a pre-decayed new urban bleakness environment is under construction there - looks quite good.
