When I click on buy land example:1024 sq m, it says I will be billed $40.00 a month. Is this correct? I currently do not own land, my account stated as follows:

Land Holdings
Allowed holdings: 8,192 square meters
Current holdings: 0 square meters
Available for purchase: 8,192 square meters
Peak square meter usage: 0 square meters

I used to own 8192 sq m a long time ago, it seems its still calculated this much land for some reason.

This is *supposed* to work such that you're actually only billed for the amount of land you own, at peak, during the billing cycle. But just to be safe, if it were me, I'd go into my Account Settings page and pull the tier all the way down to 0 first, and hope that it calculates it correctly. (Presumably it should just try to charge for 512m2 tier, given that the first 512 is premium member "bonus.";)

If you owned land in the last 30 days you will be billed for it. Manually tier down to 0 on the Land Use Fees page on the website and file a support ticket if you really did not own any land within your last billing cycle.

The window you get when you click the Buy Land button is a wee bit misleading. It simply states that your tier will remain at the $40 level since you have that level selected on the Land Use Fees page.

In reality, if you did not own any land during the billing cycle, you will only be billed for the amount purchased after deducting your 512 sqm bonus.

So, even though you have the 8192/$40 level selected, if you currently do not own any land and purchase 1024 sqm, you will be told that this purchase does not exceed the $40 level BUT you will be billed only $5.

Might wanna make sure you don't still have any group contributions (look at My Account > Group Land) and remove your contributions from any groups that say you have land listed there. (Assuming you're not still maintaining that land.)

I tried pulling the tier back down to zero and hit save changes, then it jumps back up to $40 a month, strange. I havent owned any land in over six months.

Have they been taking $40 a month from you during that time?
